KEITH D. CHAMBERS is being inducted into the Hall of Fame for his cross country running notoriety and his exceptional academic and professional career. Keith is an alumnus of the Rensselaer Jr-Sr High School class of 1975. After 38 yrs he still holds both the indoor and outdoor record in track for running 2 miles. In high school he was MVP for both cross country and track. Keith went to HVCC and graduated with an associate’s degree in Civil Technology, then went on to attain a double Bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Miami @ Coral Gable FL in Architecture and Civil Engineering. He then graduated with his Master’s in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University and is also a Contractor, Real Estate Salesman and a Mortgage Broker. In college Keith was in Senior Senator, in the undergraduate student body government, and UM Racquetball Intramural Champ to name a few of his accomplishments. He currently is CEO and President of his own Architectural, Design, Planning and Construction firm, KCA Design Group, Inc. In addition to his very full career, Keith has community service as the President of the PTA; President of his children’s High School Band Booster Club; has coached bowling, basketball, soccer, baseball and t-ball; participated in Walk-a-thons, the Knights of Columbus and Planning Associations. Keith lives in Boca Raton FL with is wife, Argiro, and has 2 children in college.

BARRY CAVANAUGH is being inducted into the Hall of Fame for his stellar athletic accomplishments and his dedicated career in coaching young people. Barry graduated from Rensselaer Jr-Sr High School in 1975, and from SUNYA in 1981. During high school, Barry became a basketball star, holding 8 school records at one time. As team captain, he lead the team to became Class B & C Champions, and “Barry Cavanaugh Night” was covered by all the local news media. In college, he was the 8th all-time high scorer, 5th all-time rebounder, in the top 6 for field goal percentage and had the most field goals in one game (16), accomplishing this 3 times. In his Jr and Sr years he was Athlete of the Year for All Sports, as well as team captain. He was also selected for many all-star teams. After college, he was team captain for a professional basketball team in Sweden for 2 yrs. He started his coaching career at Rensselaer High School in 1981 and also coached at SUNYA from 1982-88. He belongs to the University of Albany’s Athletic Hall of Fame and the Capital District Basketball Hall of Fame. After leaving the area, he worked in the Athletic Department at Morrisville State College from 1988-2001, becoming director in 1995. He changed careers and worked for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mohawk Valley until 2006, leaving there to go to Upstate Cerebral Palsy from 2007-10. Presently he owns and operates Main Event Sportswear of Upstate New York and teaches and coaches part time at Holland Patent High School. Barry lives in Whitesboro, NY with his wife Denise and has 2 children.
2017 Update: Recently, Barry has expanded his sphere of influence on children through the publication of a book entitled "Tree Trolls and Their Secret Gifts".
