Wilma "Sis" (Earle) Desorbo , VRHS Class of 1947

Wilma Elaine Earle DeSorbo passed away peacefully in the loving presence of her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughters at the Albany Memorial Hospital on Thursday, February 19, 2004 after a sudden illness. Wilma was born in Tupper Lake, N.Y. on March 9, 1929 to Leslie and Dorothy (Main) Earle. Wilma was very active in the South Colonie (Roessleville) PTA and the Hudson Valley Girl Scouts while her children were students. She most recently was a beloved and very active member of the Lisha Kill Senior Citizens. She was one of their tour directors and she loved to travel with her friends. Wilma will be fondly remembered for her love of and excellent competency in arts and crafts, particularly for her finely detailed work in ceramics. Wilma was predeceased by her husband Pasquale, whom she married on June 12, 1948. She was the beloved sister-in-law of the late Lucy, Mary and Camille. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Elaine (Richard) Gervais, Alice (Robert) Callahan, Marylou (Gerald) Morigerato and Patrick (Diane) DeSorbo; grandchildren and their spouses, Marc (Jennifer) Gervais, Cheryl (John) Ernst, Samantha Adams, Gerald (Valerie) Morigerato, Christopher Morigerato (Lindsey Hart), Kevin and Marisa DeSorbo; infant great-granddaughters, Kayleigh Gervais and Lauren Ernst; and one brother, Gaylon Bud (Mildred) Earle. Wilma's family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Albany Memorial Hospital and the Eddy Rehab Center in Cohoes. Burial will be in Memory's Garden Cemetery in Colonie.
