Paul Ross , VRHS Class of 1956
Paul Joseph Ross, 86, of Colonie, passed away peacefully, on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the Inn of Community Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Albany, and was the son of the late Sigmund and Anna Ross. Paul is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Mantia Ross; his children, Jeannine M. Coons (Brad Field) and Stephen Ross (Christine Sultan). He is the beloved Poppie of Meagan Coons, Ryan Coons and Benjamin Ross. Paul is the brother of Shirley DeLorimiere, Barbara Buscini and the late Thomas Ross, William Ross and Eileen Pillsworth. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Paul served in the U.S. Army from 1960 through 1962. He was a Computer Operator for Bordens' Dairy, and then Blue Cross/Blue Shield for several years, before retiring. He later enjoyed working at the Town of Colonie Golf Course. Paul was a member of the former Colonie Elks 2192, K of C Council 3394 in Latham and Joseph Zaloga American Legion Post 1520.
