Winifred "Winnie" (Schauble) Redden , VRHS Class of 1947
Winifred E. Redden, 78, of New Lebanon, N.Y., died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, in Dallas, Ga., while visiting her nephew. Winnie was born in Albany, daughter of the late Williard G. Schauble Sr. and August Tryon Schauble. She grew up in Rensselaer and lived in West Sand Lake for a time before moving to New Lebanon in 1968. Winnie retired from NYNEX in Albany in 1985 with 38 years of service. She was a member of the Lebanon Valley Protective Association, the first female member of the New Lebanon Ambulance, a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a driver for the Columbia Country Meals on Wheels program. Winnie was predeceased by her husband, C. Albert Redden. Survivors include her brother, Williard G. "Bill" Schauble Jr. of Burden Lake, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in Memory's Garden in Colonie, N.Y. Contributions in Winnie's memory should be made to the Lebanon Valley Protective Association, New Lebanon, NY 12125.
