Vincent Connell , VRHS Class of 2001
Vincent "Vinnie" J. Connell, 43, of East Greenbush, passed away, Tuesday, June 24, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Vincent was born in Albany, N.Y., the son of James R. Connell and Deborah (Frank) Connell-Smith. Vinnie was a graduate of Rensselaer Highschool. He worked as an assistant manager at Dollar Tree and recently as a cashier at Hannaford. Vinnie's interests included going to concerts, listening to music, spending time with family, and watching movies. Survivors include his parents, James R. Connell and Deborah Connell-Smith; his stepfather, Frank Smith; sister, Shana Lynn Connell; aunts and uncles, Joanne McCullough, Beverly Izzo, Mark Cataldo, Patrice (Richard) Sultan, Dennis (Denise) Connell, William (Trish), Michael (Trudy) Connell, and Ed Mountain; and several loving cousins. Predeceased by his grandparents, Joseph and Agnes Cataldo, and James and Shirley Connell; Uncles, John, Frank Connell, Arthur Froehlich, Jack McCullough, Tony Izzo, and Joseph Cataldo; and aunt, Joyce Froehlich.
