Linda Mae (Letzelter) Merhige , VRHS Class of 1968
MERHIGE: Hudson NY. Linda Mae passed away September 23 where she was a resident at the Hudson Fireman's Home for the past 17 years. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Hazel Letzelter, Rensselaer, sister of the late Lee Letzelter. and the wife of the late Edward A. Merhige Sr. Linda was a 1968 graduate of Van Rensselaer High school. She is survived by her sons Edward A. Jr. from N. Carolina and Peter (Amy) of Schodack Landing and 6 grandchildren, Jonathan, Luke, Peter Jr., Joseph, Elizabeth and Thomas. Linda is also survived by her brothers Jack, David and sister Joyce. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Joanne VanBeusichem and many nieces and nephews. Linda was a Life Member of the Clinton Heights Fire Department (Miller Hose) and was proudly one of the first female firefighters in 1979. At her request there will be no formal services. Her interment will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery Saturday, September 28 at 9:30AM
